Bachman: Cuts needed to pay for benefits

A GOP congresswoman says extending unemployment benefits is fine, but that she has a real problem with how the government is planning to pay for the billions of dollars it will cost taxpayers.
State unemployment and labor agencies have been preparing for weeks for Congress to restore jobless payments averaging $309 a week for almost five million people whose 26 weeks of state benefits have run out. Those individuals are enrolled in a federally financed program that provides up to 73 additional weeks of unemployment benefits.
Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) tells OneNewsNow that while most Republicans support unemployment benefits, they do not agree with deficit spending to fund the $34 billion necessary to pay for the benefits.
