CA Homosexual Marriages Could be Recognized in NM

On June 17, The Santa Fe New Mexican reported that Alexis Blizman, executive director of Equality New Mexico, an advocacy group for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered individuals, said many New Mexico “couples” will be heading to California to obtain “marriage” licenses and they have been as same sex couples for across America have converged on California where activist judges have opened the floodgates with not waiting period required for non-residents.
For New Mexicans, California is obviously much closer than Canada or Massachusetts, where same-sex marriage is also legal, and more complicated due to residency requirements.  Blizman said, "so people might choose California purely for economic reasons."

"Right now, New Mexico legislation seems to say that these marriages in California actually would be recognized in our state, and Equality New Mexico would certainly see these as valid marriages," Blizman said.
As I have been warning since 1996 with my first book which I will send you upon request, out-of-control activist judges are the bane of our nation.
Through these judicial tyrants we are seeing homosexual marriage imposed on America over the vigorous protests of the vast majority of American people. We have already seen the slaughter of millions of unborn children due to left-wing activist judges, along with purging any reference to our Christian heritage and expressions of faith from schools and other public institutions. Now they are mandating that which God calls an abomination.
But we can – and must -- stop them!
Our representatives have the power to hold these judges accountable for their actions. And we have many avenues of redress at our disposal to stop the actions of tyrannical judges in one state who are seeking to impose their will and morals on the nation, including constitutional amendments, legislative actions and executive orders.
(This pie in the sky wasted time.  People are not going to “help educate their legislators!”  Lets be realistic with our requests!!! )
We have two resources available on our Web site here. “The Supremacists,” by Phyllis Schlafly, and “Judicial Tyranny,” edited by Mark Sutherland with contributions from such notable leaders as James Dobson, Judge Roy Moore, and two chapters by myself, are books that will provide a solid education on the checks and balances designed to keep us free, and how they have been forgotten. For a donation of any amount over $15.00, we will send you your choice of these two books and for a donation of at least $25.00 we will send you both plus an article which I published earlier entitled “The Twin Towers of Evil.”
Act now, before the homosexual lobby uses activist judges in California to impose gay marriage on New Mexico.

Advocates for Illegal Immigrants Press On

In 2002, Somos Un Pueblo Unido spearheaded the legislative campaign to give illegal immigrants in New Mexico drivers’ licenses. Now they are challenging the system again, saying it’s illegal to deny bail to an illegal alien charged with a crime.
Currently, if an illegal immigrant is arrested for other crimes they can post a bond for those crimes. However, they will still be held as an illegal and probably deported if the federal government has been contacted regarding their immigration status. This is called an immigration hold.
Now, Somos Un Pueblo Unido is trying to change this policy.
This is the same group that boasts about helping at least 20,000 illegal immigrants obtain drivers licenses in New Mexico.
How they plan to change this policy is unclear, but we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you posted.
What is clear, is that illegal immigration is a huge security threat to our nation, and when an illegal immigrant breaks another law and is arrested, it is imperative they are held and sent back to their home country.
Visitors to our nation must respect our laws, and enter legally. We welcome the world with open arms, but newcomers must enter on our terms, not on theirs. This is a nation of immigrants, but it is also a nation of laws, not law breakers!

US Courts Overcrowded— Thanks to Do-Nothing Senate

According to a recent report by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, the number of immigration cases jumped from 3,746 in March 2007 to 9,350 in March 2008.
According to the Los Angeles Times, immigration cases make up more than half the federal court system’s case load.
The surge is due to the U.S. government finally making an effort to enforce immigration laws. And I applaud them for doing so. It is about time!
However, while the court system handles more and more of these cases, there are also a growing number of vacancies on the federal bench—due to inaction by a partisan Senate.
For years, we have been pushing the United States Senate to confirm good judges to the federal bench. But some Senators continue to block almost all of President Bush’s nominees. As a result, the case-load crisis continues to grow.
The answer is simple: If we want our courts to be able to handle the influx of cases as immigration law is enforced, our Senators need to hear from us. Click here to send them a message!  (what happens when they click here?  Barbara? Unless we have technology in place to help them send a fax or email, drop this)
They have the power to fix this. They have the power to ensure that justice is served in a timely fashion. But to do so, they have to have the backbone to actually do something about it. Can they move beyond partisanship and put national interest before party interests?
I hope and pray they do so, and we must must encourage them to act.  It has often been observed that politicians do not see the light until they feel the heat.  Let’s apply a little heat to this important cause.
I encourage you to join with us as we continue our ongoing battle for the judicial future of our nation. And I encourage you to send this e-mail to everyone you know, as this affects every issue our nation faces, not just immigration.
