As John McCain solidifies his lead just ahead of Republican presidential primaries Tuesday, he's seeking to bolster his conservative credentials amid new attacks from the right.

Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama are scrapping for delegates, with Obama using his recent campaign riches to pay for ads likely to send the race well beyond this week's balloting.
