Healthcare face-off in Old Dominion

Attorneys are squaring off in Virginia in the latest court challenge to healthcare reform, which is defended by the Justice Department.
The lawsuit filed by Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli claims that Congress lacks the authority to require citizens to buy health insurance or pay a penalty, and his case holds the support of Republicans William Barr, Edwin Meese and Dick Thornburgh. This is the second part of a major step in the long process of deciding whether or not the mandate is constitutional.
"We have a state law passed this year that basically says Virginians cannot be forced to purchase healthcare," reports Chris Freund of The Family Foundation of Virginia. "So we're going at it based on a state law versus federal law and a purely federalism issue."
