It All Matters

As Christians, there is no limit to the passion we have for Truth and for bringing America back to time-honored principles such as less government, personal freedom as well as responsibility, faith, sanctity of both marriage and life for the born and unborn. We stand boldly for those things, as we are challenged by Scripture that “we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and are saved.” (Heb. 10:39) Belief in the Truth of God’s Word and the timeless truth that we are created for freedom motivates us to boldly take the stands we take.
There are reasons to be encouraged. For one, every single Republican plus 11 Democrats voted against the pork loaded “stimulus” bill. By unanimously standing against the bill, Republicans spoke for millions of ordinary American people who were horrified about seeing over $800 billion of their hard earned money allocated for programs like giving $250 million to promote contraceptives. Secondly, pressure from conservatives caused Obama to back off of pushing that agenda.
The Republican Party lost credibility with many conservatives during the past two years after they won control of Congress. The country didn’t become liberal on November 4th. Our current situation happened as Republicans forgot their Contract with America which put them in power and went on an unparalleled spending spree capping it with the “bailout” that “had” to be passed last fall allowing the size of government to explode, while rewarding incompetent banks and bankers.
In 1976, we faced a similar situation: as liberals controlled the White House and a large margin in both the House and the Senate. The difference is today they are more liberal, angry and committed to their agenda. They are more than willing to push their liberal agendas, i.e., FOCA, the Fairness Doctrine, the normalization of homosexuality and of course the “economic stimulus” bill that is laden with money to promote agendas such as these.
Vision America is partnering with organizations that focus on specific issues in order to get the message across that Conservatives will not sit back and watch the country be destroyed. We are making a concerted effort to make this happen. We also are taking full advantage of word of mouth, neighbor-to-neighbor and email-to-email in order to find others who will stand up and be counted.
It is vitally important that we maximize every prayer, every dollar, and every effort invested toward the goal of saving our beloved America from the radical liberal agenda. Obama raised over $300 million in individual donations under $200 during his presidential race, proving that a little bit can make a big difference – We need thousands of Partners who will give from $5 to $5,000.
