OBAMA REWARDS PALESTINIAN TERRORISM WITH AID PACKAGE

The way America is treating Israel breaks my heart. For the first time in my life an American President is distancing America from the people and land that God loves, and we allow this to happen at our peril. Consider the following:
Despite huge budget deficits and flying in the face of public opinion (not to mention morality and common sense), President Obama is rewarding Palestinian terrorism with a pledge of $400 million in aid.
The last time Israel's President Benjamin Netanyahu visited the White House, he got the cold shoulder, followed by - no press conference, no photo-ops, no Rose Garden ceremony, etc.
But for terrorist leader Mahmoud Abbas, "president" of the so-called Palestinian Authority, the red carpet that was rolled out was lined with tax dollars.
When Abbas, whose Fatah Party has killed more Israelis than has Hamas, met with the president on Wednesday, Obama promised a $400-million aid package for the West Bank and Gaza, which allegedly will go to housing, schools, infrastructure and health care. Of course, there's no way to monitor what Palestinian leaders do with this tribute.
To say that Barack Hussein Obama is the most anti-Israel president in our history is an understatement.
For 19 years, he sat in a church and listened to his preacher spout the most atrocious anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, anti-American garbage in sermon after sermon and awarded Jew hating Louis Farrakhan with its highest award. The president's close associates include die-hard Israel-haters like ex-Weathermen Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, and leftist activist Jodie Evans of Code Pink. His administration is rife with those who align with Islamic extremists, like Deputy National Security Advisor John O. Brennan.
As a doctrinaire leftist himself, the president is anti-Western and believes America is responsible for most of the evil in the world.
From commander-in-chief, Obama has become apologist-in-chief, begging dictators like the king of Saudi Arabia to forgive us for our alleged sins. The president is anti-Israel because the president is anti-American. The left views Israel as an American outpost in the Middle East and the product of Western colonialism.
The American people know better.
According to the latest Rasmussen Poll, nearly 50% of Americans blame the terrorist sympathizers who ran the so-called Gaza flotilla for the deaths that occurred when Israel enforced its weapons blockade. Only 19% blame Israel.
Unlike the elite, 58% of Americans see Israel as America's ally; only 2% believe the Jewish state is our enemy - which means only 2% of the American people are qualified to serve in the Obama administration.
In evaluating the president's latest foreign-policy fiasco, the following is relevant:
- Prior to the Gulf War, the Palestinians were allied with Saddam Hussein.
- When news of 9/11 reached the West Bank and Gaza, Palestinians danced for joy over the deaths of more than 3,000 Americans.
- In return for unilaterally evacuating Gaza and turning the land over to them in 2005, the Palestinians spent the next five years launching rockets at Jewish communities in the Negev.
- Hamas was democratically elected to rule all of "Palestine."
- Anti-Semitic propaganda is a regular feature of programming on the television station operated by the Palestinian Authority.
- Abbas refuses to negotiate directly with Israel. He'll agree only to "proximity" talks, where each side communicates with the other through intermediaries.
- The government Abbas heads still refuses to recognize the right of Israel to exist on any territory, anywhere in the Middle East.
In light of the foregoing, I'm calling on Congress to pass a resolution protesting Obama's decision to bestow $400 million of our tax dollars on America's mortal enemies. I hope you'll support me in this vital effort.
