Pro-Lifers Question Casey Speaking at Democratic Convention

(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Penn.), a Catholic whose voting record has earned a 65 percent rating from the National Abortion Rights Action League, has been selected to speak at the Democratic National Convention on Aug 26 – a move that has kicked off a dispute about how pro-life the Democratic Party is.
Some pro-life Democrats say that the selection of Casey is a sign that the Democratic Party has made significant progress towards full inclusion of pro-life voices. For others, however, it is a sign that the “people’s party” is not pro-life at all.
