The search is over... the debate is done. Now, the GOP ticket can get on with the business of beating Barack Obama. In a Saturday announcement, GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney announced his choice to be his vice presidential running mate: Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan.

Romney's VP phone app sprung to life, giving those who downloaded it the first word. His pick is Paul Ryan, and of those who were on the short list, Ryan is an excellent choice.

As reported by the Associated Press, in prepared remarks, Ryan stated that this is the "worst economic recovery in 70 years."

"Whatever the explanations, whatever the excuses, this is a record of failure" on the part of President Barack Obama, he added.

In the prepared remarks, Ryan, 42, envisioned a Romney administration in which "We won't duck the tough issues...we will lead."
