Last week we conducted two of four One Day Crusades to Save America featuring Actor Stephen Baldwin, Three Star General Jerry Boykin and Rick Scarborough. More than 2500 people were in attendance, including more than twenty elected officials. Stephen Baldwin addressed the Culture War being waged in Hollywood against traditional values and General Boykin discussed the War against Islamic terror, sharing from his 36-year career directing our Special Forces.

We have now conducted a total of eight Pastor Policy Briefings around the state of New Mexico. During the last month we spoke to approximately forty Pastors and leaders in Hobbs and addressed more than 50 additional Pastors and leaders in Clovis, New Mexico. Approximately 500 Pastors and leaders have attended one or more of our outreach events over the past three months as we lead up to the elections of 2008, which will be a defining moment in the life of our nation. Still remaining in September are four more “One Day Crusade to Save America†events featuring General Jerry Boykin, a retired three star Brigadier General and Stephen Baldwin, the actor.

The next president could appoint three Supreme Court justices – or one-third of the Court. That’s one big reason why Values Voters have a moral responsibility to vote this year. The Court is now evenly balanced. There are four judicial activists – Associate Justices David Souter, John Paul Stevens, Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. And there are four strict constructionists -- who adhere to the intent of the Constitution’s drafters – Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia.

CA Homosexual Marriages Could be Recognized in NM

On June 17, The Santa Fe New Mexican reported that Alexis Blizman, executive director of Equality New Mexico, an advocacy group for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered individuals, said many New Mexico “couples†will be heading to California to obtain “marriage†licenses and they have been as same sex couples for across America have converged on California where activist judges have opened the floodgates with not waiting period required for non-residents.

The New Mexico Independent recently reported that the secretary of state estimates voter turnout in the June 3 primary could be as high as 70 percent. Voter registration is up across America as well according to a recent Associated Press survey. That same survey finds that there are more than 3.5 million new registered voters across the nation. Overall, the AP found nearly one in 65 adult Americans signed up to vote in just the first three months of the year. Historically, only a little more than 50 percent of voting-age adults cast ballots in U.S. presidential elections. By comparison, more than 70 percent of those in France and the United Kingdom go to the polls.
