DR. SCARBOROUGH MAKES AN UNEXPECTED GUEST APPEARANCE ON THE COMEDY CHANNEL'S "COLBERT REPORT"
Last week, while channel surfing in an attempt to discover something
worthwhile to watch, we noticed a teaser regarding Texas Governor Rick
Perry's outrageous executive order mandating preteen girls to
take Gardasil - a new vaccine against a virus that causes cervical
cancer.
Imagine our shock when, instead of a spoof on Governor Perry, we saw
my picture on the Colbert Report, a spoof on our position on this
subject and a mocking of our biblical stand that "God will not be
mocked, and that whatever a man sows, he shall also reap."

I must admit, the piece was quite funny (though at my expense).
But guess what - even the press is now taking our side on this

Governor Rick Perry is right about a lot and he has been a good
governor for Texas, and a friend of life and family values, but he is
wrong on this one and he is paying a significant political price for
his stubbornness.
There are efforts in the Texas legislature to overturn this
unfortunate executive order by the governor. We will keep you posted.

AMERICA NEEDS PROPHETS AND JUDGES
On Tuesday evening I had the distinct privilege of addressing more
than 450 leading citizens of Travis and Williamson Counties, the
principle counties in which Austin, Texas, is located - at the annual
Reagan Day Republican Dinner. The audience included such dignitaries
as Attorney General Gregg Abbott, a long time friend and supporter of
Vision America, Texas supreme court justices, members of the Texas
legislature, and numerous county and municipal leaders - as well as
hundreds of activists and members of the Williamson County Republican
Party.
My remarks were direct and to the point. Leaders in the Republican
Party must provide moral clarity or the Republican Party will continue
to lose the support of Values Voters.
I believe there are two things that are missing in our culture today,
without which we will continue to slide toward Gomorrah as a nation -
prophets and judges!
In Isaiah 3 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%203;&version;=31;) the scripture states that when a nation turns its back on
God, He takes away the prophet and the judge.
So much of what is being proclaimed from the pulpits of America is
nothing more than pop psychology - telling the people that God is
love, love, love and avoiding anything that might make sinners
uncomfortable.
At the same time, we have judges who have abandoned the Constitution
and have become a law unto themselves - legislating from the bench and
imposing their new morality on the nation.
The message met with mixed reviews, making some very uncomfortable to
say the very least. But that's the message I have been called to
deliver, and I will be delivering the same message to the 100 Pastors
and 1000 registrants at the Restoring America Conference where I will
deliver two important addresses this weekend.

WAR ON CHRISTIANS CONTINUES - IN PENNSYLVANIA
Apparently its OK to dress up like Satan, demons, witches and goblins
in Pennsylvania, but for goodness sake don't come to school
looking like Jesus!
On October 31, 2006, Willow Hill Elementary School Principal, Dr.
Patricia Whitmire, told the fourth-grade student's mother that a
Jesus costume would violate the school's religion policy.
Whitmire required that the young student remove his "crown of
thorns" and not identify himself as Jesus.
