GEN. PACE SPEAKS THE TRUTH ON HOMOSEXUALITY IN THE MILITARY
Thank God there are still men with the courage to speak the truth
about the evil abroad in the land. The highest-ranking officer of the
American military has given preachers across America a model for moral
clarity.
In an interview with The Chicago Tribune on Monday, Marine Corps
General Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said gays
should not serve openly in the military because homosexuality is
immoral and “I do not believe the United States is well served
by a policy that says it’s OK to be immoral in any way.”

Pace’s comments were in response to a move to allow homosexuals
to serve openly in the military.
Rep. Marty Meehan (D-Mass.) has introduced legislation to repeal the
1993 compromise that ended efforts to weed out gays in uniform, as
long as they weren’t open about it (the so-called
Don’t-Ask-Don’t-Tell policy).

That General Pace has come under withering fire from gay activists is
to be expected. What’s disheartening is the number of
officeholders - including Republicans - who are pandering to elite
opinion by criticizing the general’s remarks. Senator John
Warner, ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee,
said he “disagreed with the chairman’s view that
homosexuality is immoral,”
As Christians, we must stand by this brave soldier and oppose the

RADICAL ISLAM INVADES THE CAPITOL
In the latest example of liberal blindness in the war on terrorism, a
Democratic Congressman arranged for the Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR) to use a meeting room in the United States Capitol.
CAIR isn’t just any Muslim group, but one that has multiple ties
to terrorism and rarely misses an opportunity to undermine our
nation’s security.
CAIR has a number of leaders in jail or deported for fundraising for
or active participation in terrorist groups. Rabih Haddad, Jr., who
was deported in 2003 after federal authorities linked him with al
Qaeda, was identified by The New York Times as a CAIR fundraiser. A
founding member of CAIR’s Texas chapter was sentenced to 6 years
in prison for trying to transfer money to Hamas - a group that’s
murdered hundreds of Israelis.

GIULIANI JUDGES MOSTLY LIBERAL
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani assures us that, if elected
president, he will appoint “strict constructionists” - in
the mold of Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Roberts - to the federal courts.
Given the Mayor’s outspoken pro-choice, pro-gay rights views,
it’s hard to credit that pledge as anything but empty, campaign
rhetoric.
But a look at Giuliani’s court appointments makes me even more
skeptical.
As mayor, Giuliani appointed or re-appointed 127 municipal court
judges (who hear civil, criminal or family cases). According to Connie
Mackey, vice president of Family Research Council Action,
“Rudy’s judges were mostly liberal.”
