Planned Parenthood Using Your Tax Dollars for Campaigns

As outrageous as this may sound, you and I are having tax dollars usurped from our pockets that are being dedicated to undermining our values on abortion, marriage, sexuality, creation and a host of other bedrock Biblical values.  In a staggering example of this tyranny, Planned Parenthood who receives $272.2 million dollars of taxpayer’s money per year, enabling them to be America’s leading provider of abortion services, recently unveiled their plans to dedicate themselves to the defeat of pro-life candidates.

"We're going to channel our strength, our outreach, our power, and work with our pro-choice allies to help progressive voices win across America," said Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Richards, the daughter of former Texas Gov. Ann Richards, made the comments at the liberal "Take Back America" conference.

"The skies are looking better for progressives (code word for pro-abortion and anti-family candidates) this November, but the threat to Roe v. Wade and the threat to family planning in this country are probably as great as they have been for the last 30 years," Richards said.

She noted that Planned Parenthood has 860 health centers around the country in 50 states and has more members, employees and staff than the 50 state Democratic parties combined.

"We have the potential to swing the vote in 2006, 2008 and 2010, and that's a lot of power," Richards said.

How do you think the IRS or liberal establishment would react to any conservative group that received federal monies, announcing their willingness to use their resources to defeat pro-abortion candidates?  What if Focus on the Family announced they were using the funds they raise themselves for their 501c3, to defeat pro-abortion candidates?

You and I should be outraged with this blatant disregard by an organization that receives federal funds then taking those funds and using them destroy the morality which built this nation that our forefathers gave their lives to secure.

Christianity Rated PG by Motion Picture Association of America

This falls in the “I never cease to be amazed” category.

Recently Alex and Stephen Kendrick, the "associate pastors of media" at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia where I conducted a revival several years ago, made a movie called Facing the Giants.  The story which depicts the spiritual life of a football coach includes miracles, prayer, and a gospel presentation.

They have secured a limited number of theatres who are willing to show the movie and in the process they submitted the movie to the Motion Picture Association of America, or MPAA as it is known in the industry.  The filmmakers expected the Motion Picture Association of America to give the film a G rating. After all, the movie has no profanity, no sex, no violence, and wholesome messages.

When the film was returned it had received a PG rating, meaning Parental Guidance for children under 12.  The reason for the rating was that the movie offered only one view of religion and was therefore declared to be ill advised for children.  In other words, conservative Christianity is now viewed on the same plane as foul language and extreme violence. Anyone want to debate the issue of the War on Christianity in America?

Vision America Working with Pro-Life Activists in Missouri to Stop Cloning Amendment

As I write this Rick Scarborough Report, I am making my second trip to DC courtesy of Dick Bott, who provided me a ride aboard his company plane, so I could make several important appointments in Missouri and Washington.  I am very grateful to my Heavenly Father and to Dick for this provision.  This makes my second trip to DC this week and then back to Missouri on Thursday evening for more meetings Friday.

On Monday I met in Washington DC with leaders of 40 conservative organizations, out of which came a Declaration demanding that Congress secure our borders before considering any provisions for illegal immigrants other than deportation.  While as a Pastor I hurt for the millions of displaced people who are working in the shadows of our nation, I deplore the willful refusal of our government to enforce the laws that currently exist prohibiting illegal entry into our nation.  We are facing extinction as a nation if this madness is not stopped immediately.

On Monday evening I traveled to St. Louis where I rented a car and traveled to three meetings in Lebanon and Jefferson City to rally Pastors to oppose America’s first effort to legalize human cloning.  On November 7th, Missourians will vote on a proposed amendment to their Constitution, which if passed will make Missouri the first state in the Union to legalize the creation of human life in a petri dish for the sole purpose of killing the embryo to advance science.

The level of immorality which this amendment will advance is staggering.  Yet the cloning forces are pouring millions of dollars into the state in the most elaborate and well funded effort of distorting the truth this nation has ever witnessed.  There is an effort to brainwash the citizens of Missouri, the likes of which we have never seen.

It seems that God has been pleased on several occasions to position Vision America at strategic places on the wall as Satan has systematically sought to dismantle every semblance of Christianity in America.  In 2003, I lived in Montgomery, Alabama throughout the tragic saga of the removal of the Ten Commandments Monument from the Alabama Supreme Court Rotunda and ouster of Chief Justice Roy Moore.

We worked for over six weeks to mobilize Pastors around the country to stand up to the growing tyranny of evil being advanced by unlawful judges.  I sat in the courtroom the day that Roy Moore was publicly repudiated and removed from his seat on the State Supreme Court and grieved in my heart over the injustice.  In that battle we failed and the Ten Commandments were removed as was a godly and good Judge.

Now the battle is in Missouri, but the stakes are much higher and the assault of evil is on a far greater level.  If this amendment passes, little gods in laboratories will have succeeded in their efforts to create experiments with human life.  We cannot lose this one.  And with God’s help, and yours, we will not.
