About Us

Restore The Ten Commandments is a project of Vision America, a tax-exempt, non-partisan organization -- founded in 1998-- that encourages the clergy and faithful of every denomination to be actively involved in restoring Judeo-Christian values to our public life.

Through rallies, a petition drive, advertising and other high-visibility campaigns, we seek to return The Ten Commandments to their rightful place as America's moral foundation and the guiding light of our public affairs.

Restore The Ten Commandments informs the public on the historic significance of Mosaic Law - that without the vision first glimpsed at Sinai, the United States of America would never have happened. We educate on the importance of Biblical law to this nation's founding and development. The views of the Founding Fathers and other great Americans were shaped by the Judeo-Christian worldview. The recent assault on The Ten Commandments by the ACLU and its cohorts on the federal bench threatens to undermine the freedoms most Americans cherish.

Restore The Ten Commandments wants Americans to understand the intimate connection between God's law and family, freedom, peace and prosperity. The moral health of our society is predicated on its conformity to Scriptural principles.

Restore The Ten Commandments tries to show how abandoning The Ten Commandments has led to the myriad social ills that plague America - abortion, pornography, crime, drug abuse, divorce and the rise of fatherless families, cohabitation and homosexuality.

Restore the Ten Commandments thus calls on pastors and people of faith to:

• Launch voter registration drives through their churches
• Stand up to judicial tyranny
• Insist on legislation protecting public display of The Ten Commandments and other religious symbols as well as restoration of nondenominational school prayer, making this issue a litmus test in the 2004 election and those that follow, until judicial tyranny has been overthrown and our nation is restored to moral sanity.
• Work toward the confirmation of nominees for the federal bench committed to the doctrines of original intent and judicial restraint and
• Reject social experimentation that transgresses God's law - abortion, sex education, homosexual marriage and the weakening of parental authority - and challenge judicial rulings that facilitate these evils.

Both Vision America and its Restore The Ten Commandments project are under the able leadership of Pastor Rick Scarborough and Vision America's dedicated staff and distinguished directors and board of advisors.
