Vision America President Rick Scarborough today praised President George W. Bush for refusing to designate June Gay Pride Month.
This was a destructive practice initiated by his predecessor, the most immoral man to ever occupy the White House, Scarborough declared. President Bush is to be commended for putting principle above political expediency by refusing to bow to the dictates of the cultural elite.
What are we being asked to celebrate? Scarborough asked. AIDS, which is confined primarily to homosexuals? Pedophilia, a crime committed disproportionately by homosexuals?
Homosexuality is a sin that strikes at the very foundations of society, Scarborough charged, not a life-style to be celebrated, or an honored part of a diverse society.
The Vision America president excoriated presumptive Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry for claiming that the Bush administration uses gay rights as a political tool to divide the nation, and for insisting that, we dont need a Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.
Scarborough observed: Pro-family advocates, including our president, arent the ones who made gay-marriage an issue. The left did that, through its judicial auxiliary. Our efforts to counter it are defensive, and nothing more.
Calling the Massachusetts Senator a hypocrite, Scarborough said: Kerry wants to have it both ways. While claiming to support the traditional definition marriage, he is, in effect, saying: Leave the definition of marriage up to the courts, knowing full well that like the high court in Massachusetts federal judges eventually will legislate homosexual marriage from the bench. The American people arent about to fall for such sophistry from a candidate for the highest office in the land.
A member of The Arlington Group, Vision America is a proud supporter
of the Federal Marriage Amendment, on which a vote is expected in the
Senate near July 15th. On its website www.restorethecommandments.com
-- the organization has posted contact information on those Senators who
have thus far refused to support the amendment, including John Forbes
Kerry.
