NOV. 17th PRESS CONFERENCE TO KICKOFF SAVE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS - GOD'S CONTRACT WITH AMERICA PETITION DRIVE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vision America will hold a press conference on November 17 (2-3pm) in the Lisagor Room of the National Press Club to officially kickoff its SAVE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS - GOD'S CONTRACT WITH AMERICA petition drive.
The petition seeks to restore our Judeo-Christian heritage, check the secularist onslaught, defend public display of the Ten Commandments and other religious symbols, oppose judicial tyranny and support the confirmation of federal judges committed to the doctrines original intent and judicial restraint.
Among the 24 distinguished Americans who've agreed to have their names published as original signers are: Rev. Jerry Falwell, Dr. James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Rabbi Daniel Lapin (Toward Tradition), Fr. Frank Pavone (Priests for Life), Tony Perkins (Family Research Council), Paul Weyrich (Free Congress Foundation), Sandy Rios (Concerned Women for America), Pastor John Hagee, Rabbi Yehuda Levin (Jews for Morality) and D. James Kennedy (Coral Ridge Ministry). A complete list of signers, as well as copies of the petition, will be released at the press conference.
Participants at the press conference will include: Ambassador Alan Keyes, Gary Bauer (American Values), Rick Scarborough (Vision America), Rabbi Levin, Fr Pavone, Jan LaRue (Concerned Women for America), Genevieve Wood (Family Research Council) and Jill S. Farrell (Free Congress Foundation).
Vision America will discuss its co-operative strategy for collecting millions of signatures on its petitions as well as a RALLY FOR RELIGIOUS LIBERTY AND NATIONAL RENEWAL in Washington, DC in September of 2004.
